+ Do you accept insurance for online sessions?

I am in network with UnitedHealthcare, United Behavioral Health, and Optum insurance for online sessions.

+ How much do online sessions cost without insurance?

If you will not be utilizing insurance, either by choice or due to not having insurance coverage, I offer 55 minute online individual at $150 per session and 55 minute online couples sessions at $225 per session. I also offer 85 minute couples sessions at $250 per session.

+ Is an online session as effective as an in-person session?

Yes, online therapy is backed by research and has been shown to be as effective as in-person meetings. Online therapy enables increased client access to meetings. For example, clients with mobility and transportation limitations, clients in caregiver roles or with young children, clients living in remote locations, and clients with busy work and travel schedules are able to schedule and engage regularly towards their goals with fewer transportation and time sacrafices. Some clients find that they are more at ease and open during an online session than they have been in traditional office settings. One of the biggest concerns that therapists and clients have about online therapy is the ability for client and therapist to connect and create an effective therapeutic alliance. I have found that online sessions have not diminished the connection between client and therapist and am happy to report that clients have expressed the same sentiment.

+ Do you offer reduced fee sessions?

I do offer reduced fee (aka - sliding scale) sessions for clients seeking treatment while facing financial difficulty. My reduced fee sessions are limited, however if you would like to discuss please mention it during our first contact.

+ What will our first session be like?

During our first session, whether it is during an intitial consult to see if we will be a good fit for working together, or if it is our first full session, it always starts with you, where you are, and where you would like to end up if our work together is successful.

+ What services do you provide and how?

I provide individual and couples therapy through secure online video meetings through SimplePractice or Doxy.me. Both are HIPPA compliant meeting platforms that ensure your privacy during our meeting.
